Healthcare staff were afraid of patients with HIV because there wasn’t clarity on how it was transmitted. So they can be referred by their primary care doctor or to us. You can choose comfort-focused care or you can choose to continue chemotherapy. So these men were extremely isolated, and they were dying alone.
