And then with the nurse-led telephonic case management, that was a centralized model at NYU, and we got philanthropic support to hire the nurses. And so I tried to get her actually to pain management, and I couldn’t. Pain management wouldn’t come to the facility, and she was bedbound. And so it really got me interested in how we improve symptom management. Not just pain, but symptom management, then for people that are in a nursing home and that.

This DEA is taking 6-months to consider how to move forward vis a vis restrictions and requirements for telehealth in a post-pandemic world. So we’re going to be talking about telemedicine, telehealth for people with serious illness. And I think that it was percolating in a lot of the palliative care community.
