There were a number of opportunities to be involved in medical oncology and doing medical oncology rotations as a medical student, as an internal medicine residential. And sort of a few years ago, we would sometimes see referrals a bit later than we would have liked. There really was very little. So I think education is key.

How much of your training was focused on managing substance use disorder training and palliative care? We published a nice piece, I think it was in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management. So I mean, I had referrals from as far as Canadian Arctic North, of people who were interested in doing dignity therapy. We began this here in Winnipeg.
