All the staff agreed that it was not a representation of the care we provide our patients. When the doctor is late for the clinic, and patients are waiting for more than 30 minutes, it is helpful to have a staff member enter the reception area (not the waiting room) and provide patients with an estimated arrival time for the doctor.

And you could say the same thing about insurance companies. Insurance companies will pay for a lot of drugs that have really not a whole lot of evidence at a lot of costs. But to this day, I haven’t heard of an insurance company that’s willing to cover cannabis. And I kind of just took off from there.

Michele: Yeah, so in May of 2018, there was an article by Suleika Jaouad in the New York Times Magazine, and they spent about two weeks in our hospice with us learning about the work that’s done. They didn’t have a mentor, a financial provider, all of those things. In many cases, the families were the victims of the crime.
