I normally end with updates on mommy life, but shortly after my last post, my daughter decided to inform me of her very important first color guard performance literally two days before it happened. As a medical student, I never rotated in the field since I chose Plastic Surgery as my surgery selective, so it was definitely a new experience.

If you’re a 4th year medical student who is unmatched at this point, my advice is the following: Focus on securing a one year preliminary or transitional year position! You have to be comfortable managing everything from lacerations, fractures, genital issues, etc in all age ranges and completely on your own.

Doctors looking to actively manage real estate will be front and center. This can involve (but is not limited to) property research, contract negotiation, purchase, and subsequent management. Lastly, investors can actively deduct expenses related to property taxes, maintenance, and management fees depending on the investment.

Eric: Drew, what I’m also hearing from you though in your post is maybe there’s something different about people doing primary palliative care and pain management versus specialty palliative care. But I just don’t expect my medical students, residents and generalist colleagues to do that and to have that.

But I had a terrific MSTAR medical student working with me this past summer who was looking to see whether there were the type of medication, like the half life or was a Z versus a benzo.
