CDC Proposes Updating Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids, Warning Against Continued Misapplication

As CDC notes in the 2022 proposed guideline, the 2016 guideline provided twelve recommendations for primary care clinicians who prescribe opioids for chronic pain in outpatient settings.
