Dr. Johnson noted that the ABIM Council considers issues that affect multiple disciplines and how to address them in public forums, while the Specialty Boards can individually choose to address issues specific to their disciplines.

And that’s what gets me excited for our future, is being able to interact with those individuals and attract them early and keep them hooked, I think is one of Jerry and my story. And of course those high rates of burnout and exhaustion are present across medical specialties. And so I think it’s not all sunny.
