So what we found is up to 30% of people would call 911 again for a fall, and of those calls, some people became very high-utilizers and so they would call 911 over and over again. I think once someone becomes kind of a high-utilizer, it’s a slippery slope. I had no idea that people were calling 911 that much sometimes.

It is a screening? And so then it would be nice to have those other than the chaplains, be aware of the spiritual component and then just ask some basic screening questions. And the screening questions would just allow you to know that. Who does the assessments, who does screening? I guess FICA is not as cool as SKY.

Our early studies were looking at things like, desire for death, and syndromal depression, and screening for depression and anxiety, and will to live. The specifics of how it does that depend on the population in which it’s implemented, and the outcome measure that is utilized.

So one that the primary outcome was supposed to be documentation, which it improved documentation, it wasn’t powered to actually look at any utilization or hard outcomes. Get the hospice referral. We were the highest utilizers of telemedicine in the whole UCSF health system at that time which we’re very proud of. And how are you going to know that when you’re just getting random referrals from teaching hospitals, for example? I think at least we like to think of ourselves as ahead of the curve.
