I have 24,500 veterans on our caseload, 14,000 individuals with diagnosed mental health issue, 8,500 with an alcohol and substance abuse. Acute care is called acute care for a reason.

So if you think about dementia, it’s on the intersection of aging stigma and mental health stigma. You come over to the clinic, you go to the hospital, you provide service, and the insurance and you negotiate how much you’re going to get paid. They can be nurse if you want to.
