Exploring Medical Trainees Perspectives on Narrative Medicine Education and Narrative Humility [Qualitative research]

Annals of Family Medicine

Objective: To determine medical trainees’ perspectives on current NBM practices and on narrative humility, and to assess their views on the effectiveness of NBM education via peer-led interactive workshop. Results: 31 out of the 33 respondents (93.9%) agreed that the workshop provided them with new knowledge about NBM.

Effect of brief dermoscopy training on primary care providers' diagnostic accuracy on a test and in practice [Education and training]

Setting: Divisions of Family Medicine and Community Internal Medicine at a large academic medical center in Southeast Minnesota. Intervention: Two-hour asynchronous dermoscopy course teaching the Triage Amalgamated Dermoscopy Algorithm (TADA) plus a 30 minute hands-on workshop teaching how to operate and obtain images with a dermatoscope.
