In our institution, screenings are completed for patients ≥15 years during well visits; those not presenting for well visits and under 15 may represent missed opportunities. Providers were alerted of positive screens by rooming staff to either assess further or refer to our Pediatric SUD Clinic to manage.

There has to be effective support provided behind any type of screening strategy in order for it to truly be effective. I think she’s the creator of the mini cog.
