This isn't only because too few medical students are choosing primary care residency programs ; it also reflects generalist physicians leaving practice prematurely due to burnout.

The practice steadily grew through the 80’s and 90’s, and Dr. Eggebrecht joined in 1993, at a time when family doctors still rounded in the hospital and delivered babies. The individuals who make up the practice impact the community in a variety of ways. They volunteer as the attending physician for high school football games.
