Despite increasing attention to physician wellness , the rates of burnout continue to rise—especially among frontline clinicians, medical students, and residents. Moral injury is a normal human response to an abnormal traumatic event—a deep soul wound shattering one’s identity and morality. Let’s not waver on the truth.
