Moral injury is a normal human response to an abnormal traumatic event—a deep soul wound shattering one’s identity and morality. My job is to prevent human suffering and death—even when inflicted by institutional violence against physicians inside our own hospitals. I’m a systems thinker, a scientist, a doctor.
