One of the largest problems in our ER, it seems, is that there is a subset of patients who visit us on a routine basis. It is a real problem in our ER. We just don't have the time among all the other serious happenings in our ER that require our attention. His last visit to our ER was just three days prior.

When we started doing more music stuff for our patients in the hospital, a lot of people started to think, hmm, what would I want to listen to? A music therapist would use music deliberately to achieve a rehabilitation goal, just like a physical therapist or an occupational therapist. I’m originally an ER physician.
