I love my Plastic Surgery residency family! I'm not going to lie, after two years of working in the urgent care setting, being in the ER was super chill for me. It kept me busy, but I really enjoyed the hospital I was rotating at, and the attendings let me do a lot in the operating room.

His transport from his house to our department had been less than ten minutes and the pre-hospital team had done an excellent job of intubating this patient and establishing an IV to begin resuscitation efforts. Most emergency providers wanted to do the right thing for seriously ill patients, but they didnt have the knowledge, skills, or experience to do it.
