The Self-Identified Need for Contraception-based electronic clinical quality measures (SINC-based eCQMs) measure if patients who self-identify their interest in contraception receive a method. It is a screening? And so then it would be nice to have those other than the chaplains, be aware of the spiritual component and then just ask some basic screening questions. And the screening questions would just allow you to know that. Who does the assessments, who does screening? I guess FICA is not as cool as SKY.

So sharing one electronic health record, but three separate hospitals within them. What we ended up doing with this study was we used NLP to screen these 44,000 notes for 2,000 patients, 2,512. Should it be decreased utilization, decreased use of CPR? So you randomized this, there’s three different hospitals, right?

We were the highest utilizers of telemedicine in the whole UCSF health system at that time which we’re very proud of. So if you count talking to a nurse on the telephone and then writing an electronic prescription as a form of telemedicine, that was the norm for hospice prescribing of controlled substances even before the pandemic.
