Chaplains can do an assessment of the spirituality of the individual and then they use interventions that are part of their discipline and those interventions are tailored to the individual’s spiritual and religious needs of the person that they’re caring for. I have 24,500 veterans on our caseload, 14,000 individuals with diagnosed mental health issue, 8,500 with an alcohol and substance abuse.
