It was specific to the relationship with the patient, the patient’s social context in which they might take this information. I don’t need to know how to bill, to enter encounter information to code. I think a lot of back office function, predicting ER loads and OR loads to do better scheduling of staff.

So elderly people who aspirated, got pneumonia, had an mi, didn’t get hauled off to the emergency room on an ambulance crew so they could die in the ER. And it’s not the same, but it does provide information. The intention was to place it in the beds in nursing homes. That’s why we did it.
