Practice-PC is an intentionally interprofessional and cutting edge year-long group continuing education course in palliative care for working professionals from all disciplines, in the Bay Area. Lexy: The domains were meaning and purpose, relationships, transcendence and peace, and self-worth and identity, and we developed those.

It could be in housing, it could be a standalone senior center, home delivered meals, nutrition counseling and nutrition education done by registered dieticians. And that referral can be done in real time, a soft handoff. It’s really the nutrition program, which is inclusive of congregate meals. I think most states have them.

And that really is what prompted me to get certified as a sexual education provider. I actually went to planned parenthood of Rhode island, and as a practicing oncologist, sat with folks, some of who had just graduated high school, others who were nurse practitioners, and they started from the very, very basics of pelvic anatomy.
