I was very close with my grandparents growing up, and then I actually was exposed to geriatrics as a pre-med student at Yale New Haven Hospital as one of the volunteers and Dr. I explored other things, but I felt like I consistently gravitated toward the care of older adults.

When I spoke to physicians who had been practicing back then, it seemed that the sort of modern cohort of medical students and residents and young physicians were facing a different set of challenges, a unique set of challeng challenges. When I was a UCSF med student a quarter century ago, I was behind by a quarter century.

And the actors were blinded to whether this was a primary care doctor or a chat bot answering them. The results were that the chat bots got the diagnoses right and had an escalation strategy that was better than the doctors, as judged by blinded specialists reading the transcripts. They had no idea. Bob: Yeah. Eric: Yeah.
