Regardless of the severity of a patient's illness and diagnosis, time and again I am now witnessing an unsettling fear in their eyes, conveying a belief that somehow Covid-19 is playing a part in their (lack of) well-being. Don't bog down our front-line medical providers with mild symptoms. They are scared. We are all scared.

It goes from if they meet medical criteria, it goes directly back to the sentencing court, and then we have open communication with the courts so that we can provide medical information. So we’re designing a program where it won’t matter on what the housing is.

So this is about two and a half, three years out from leukemia diagnosis. And the point of that is that so many people, in my experience, and I’m sure it’s the same initial diagnosis of cancer, that’s the last thing that I want to talk about.
