Often when there’s a cognitive concern, it’s a family member that is calling saying, “I just want to make sure my mom should still be driving after this happened, or after this diagnosis.” Certainly my bias is that healthcare professionals really do have a role in this discussion. Is this our role?

So for the stepped care model, all patients see palliative care at the time of diagnosis. Alex: Okay.

For the foreseeable future, it’s going to be right 90%, 95%, 85%, so the safety system, of course, will be, the AI says something, makes a recommendation or gives you a draft diagnosis or drafts your note, and then, the failsafe is, the doctor reads it over. AI has a long and not storied history in healthcare. This is GPT-4.

Within eight weeks of diagnosis of advanced disease. And then we started pushing a lot more surveys electronically to patients, which, of course, has its challenges, because not everyone’s as tech savvy as, you know, our highly educated patients who have access to technology. English or spanish speakers.
