She was resuscitated by EMS, but did not regain higher brain function, and was eventually diagnosed as being in a persistent vegetative state. The hospital refused without a court order, and the case eventually made its way to the Supreme Court. Laurie: Yeah, she was an On Lok patient, and I went in to see her in the hospital.

And the actors were blinded to whether this was a primary care doctor or a chat bot answering them. The results were that the chat bots got the diagnoses right and had an escalation strategy that was better than the doctors, as judged by blinded specialists reading the transcripts. They had no idea. That one’s wacky.
