In day-to-day practice, It’s hard to imagine providing excellent hospice or palliative care services without access to a team social worker. And I think that’s when I got hooked on how do we improve care, in my case again, for kids and families, but also for us, the providers. I can figure out how to provide care in this way.

It’ll come out in these deviant behaviors, just like you mentioned earlier, where maybe we stave off seeing that patient, send the medical student instead or delay that visit till the end of the day. What medications are the patient on? And also the whole potential psychiatric diagnoses. We’ll act it out.

Something that I’d very little experience of having been a medical student in Pakistan. I think defining pain as in identifying what exactly is the nature of the pain, not only may you may change what type of therapy that you get benefit from, but it might alert you to a diagnosis that may have been missed in the past.
