If it’s continuing and it’s getting worse and maybe they have some swelling in the legs, there are some subtle findings on the echo, but really think for a second, could this be this really common cardiovascular condition, echocardiogram, maybe even a referral to a cardiologist?

Our field really lacks specificity in the terms that we use, and I think we really don’t know how chronic cancer pain, let’s say, a few years out from that initial diagnosis differs from, let’s say, chronic low back pain. Why would that be? What would the biologic mechanism be that would make that different?
