Cause it’s tricky to just implement per se and say, hey, we’re gonna screen everybody, you know, use a population health approach or a age cutoff and just start screening everybody if you don’t have those next steps figured out as well. And there’s no continuity of care. It’s closer to 80.

But a lot of that is because older adults don’t do as well after injury, because of physiologic changes. If they’re in a major car crash, they’re going to have more long-term complications probably than a 20-year-old would. Certainly my bias is that healthcare professionals really do have a role in this discussion.
