Doctors are often in the hot seat when addressing patients. I learned alot about what actual communication of patients looked like. The conversation between a patient and the man who would likely be carving his insides out shortly. Doctors are required to take ‘informed consent’ from patients pre-op.

You know, we found that 64% of the people we cared for never went to the hospital or ER. And I wonder if that is key in patients, people who are experiencing homelessness as well. And that’s about half of our referrals. And so the metrics kind of spoke for itself. Or as we said in the podcast, abandonment.
