And that grew into a group of volunteers coming back and at least providing support groups, giving those men a place where they could talk at least. It’s by choice, just like in the community. We have about 450 inpatient mental health beds. So they can be referred by their primary care doctor or to us.

Kate and Ashwin talked about their research on the prevalence of lifetime trauma and its association with physical and psychosocial health among adults at the end of life. Certainly a lot of communities we’re thinking about LA right now and the collective trauma that they’re experiencing from the fires.
