Evaluation consists of lab studies, including CBC, CMP, BNP, troponin, UA, UDS, TSH with reflex to T4, and urine pregnancy test for individuals with a uterus. Additional lab testing can be completed to account for the broader differential diagnoses. A value of > or = 50 ng/mL is considered abnormal.

It also feels like, I also grew up in med school in a three hospital system. There’s the variation between the hospitals, feels like there’s cultural issues that play a role.
