So Carmen and Katie developed an EMS Community Partnership program. They created a seamless link between this Community Partnership program and 911 calls for falls. Eric and I enjoyed talking with Carmen and Katie about this innovative and common sense approach to addressing falls in the community. What can we do as a community?

So that would be palatable to the community that I could look at, whether we were over-screening those 80 and older. I talk to women 75 and older or something like it’s my job as your PCP to recommend tests that I think will lead to more good than to harm. And so we recruited 546 women and they were from 137 different PCPs.

So the patient gets gabapentin prescribed from their surgeon, they see their PCP, they have a list of medications, and they all get renewed, get represcribed. Eric: Although pregabalin, right, more misuse of pregabalin out in the community. So I don’t know that I would think that pregabalin is more misused in this community.

And actually, just my experience of that actually, I think made me want to be more, to understand more about what was going on in the community and be more part of how we could support older adults in the community, particularly around asian hate, which then I ended up moving to unlock in 2022. Specifically about anti agent hate.
