Alex: We’ve got a lot to talk about…what states are doing and cities are doing to support older adults in the community. It was designed to really balance what Medicaid at the time was to provide nursing homes and Medicare is obviously health insurance. But, what you need is a community-based game there.

You come over to the clinic, you go to the hospital, you provide service, and the insurance and you negotiate how much you’re going to get paid. Whereas with comprehensive dementia care, what you really need is a lot of the support that is delivered in the community. That never happens in CMS and other health insurance.
