In day-to-day practice, It’s hard to imagine providing excellent hospice or palliative care services without access to a team social worker. And so when you have that, that’s so good for the family. We need to figure out how to create this community of palliative care social work scholars. That’s so good for us.

And that grew into a group of volunteers coming back and at least providing support groups, giving those men a place where they could talk at least. It’s by choice, just like in the community. In many cases, the families were the victims of the crime. Only about 5% of the population is female. They suffered from it.
