So Carmen and Katie developed an EMS Community Partnership program. They created a seamless link between this Community Partnership program and 911 calls for falls. So we take that science and we apply it to something that’s very messy and chaotic, like a human being or a community or a population. It was like kind of a co op with this common space that different groups could rent for events and meetings and things like that. I think it started off from a need, a hunger in the community.

So when we think about independence, being able to get to the place that we want to be, we’re reliant on things like transportation, whether it be cars or trucks or trains, and how society is built around that. Whether again, be transportation, food delivery, things like that. So that gives you a sense of perspective.

Alex: We’ve got a lot to talk about…what states are doing and cities are doing to support older adults in the community. But, what you need is a community-based game there. The long-term care is being actually provided in the community at a much higher rate than what the formal system provides. You go back home.
