So at least in my oncology community, I really didn’t have anyone guiding or supporting or mentoring me. But the palliative care clinicians didn’t have the time or opportunity to foster and develop a longitudinal relationship with patients and their families. And most people just haven’t dealt with that before.

And over that first 15 years, which was a very difficult time when there was no treatment at all available, everybody died and usually within months or a year or two of when they were diagnosed.
