And so certainly from a family’s perspective, a family caregiver perspective, the last thing we want to have when it comes to good dementia care is a diagnose and audio scenario, or in this case, some type of screening result, and then we’ll see you again in six months. The beautiful thing about it, it’s more than just having a career development award; it’s a community of aging researchers. One of the highlights really is the networking and the community that it fosters and highlighted, in some ways, by the meeting, which of course you often lead the sing along at. I agree with you.

I was asking about what was going to be special about the trip or if they were going to do things with their family. They’re like, “Everyone wants to make every moment of our day special.” So she had them early in diagnosis and then a little bit later. ” He turned to his wife and they were laughing.

We need to figure out how to create this community of palliative care social work scholars. It creates that community where you’re like, “Oh, I’m not alone. And I’ve got a whole community of people to support me.” What does this diagnosis mean to you? And that was really how SWHPN started.

And then for Hsien and for Sammy, this is a real social movement that you’re trying to… The movement upstream, getting people to consider what are the serious issues at the time of diagnosis with serious illness. So that’s kind of what unifies us, I would say. Everyone is so lovely and helpful to each other.
