I love family medicine because as family physicians, we can be trained to provide care for patients in many different settings. So the data relating to the number of geriatricians in this country, salaries in comparison to hospitalists or primary care physicians. And I met with the clinical pharmacist who worked in that clinic and she told me, “You know what? The medical school has no geriatricians.”
