I’m sort of seeing them in clinic for consideration of palliative radiation, they have a lot going on. Sometimes individuals have lung tumors that make it difficult for them to breathe. Now patients are living so much longer that they’re coming back to my clinic after I’ve treated them with radiation.

I think that consistency of what is the expectation of our roles is crucial in a lot of ways, but that role is determined by the individuals we’re serving. It was designed to really balance what Medicaid at the time was to provide nursing homes and Medicare is obviously health insurance. I have 24,500 veterans on our caseload, 14,000 individuals with diagnosed mental health issue, 8,500 with an alcohol and substance abuse. But, what you need is a community-based game there.
