CAFP family, we are heartbroken to share with those of you who don't know that CAFP Past President Dave Bazzo passed away this past Saturday morning after a more than two year battle with glioblastoma. Dr. Bazzo was an extraordinary human being and an incredible family physician. But my experience was far from unique.

So I think as palliative care clinicians, we use narrative as we try to understand more about the persons that we’re caring for and their families. Been in the hospital four times, vented, been told the story to her family, she won’t live.
