So, the consult will come in and then we’ll do what we call a clinical bedside evaluation, where we’ll go and see the patient at the bedside. So, we use that information to formulate a treatment plan. Here at UW Health, we call it our Swallow Service. We actually have even subspecialization, which is kind of fun.

I’m sort of seeing them in clinic for consideration of palliative radiation, they have a lot going on. So from the simulation, the patient goes home, the physician and the physicist and the dosimetry department put together a treatment plan, and then the patient comes back for their actual fractions of their actual treatments.
