Her most recent book is Elderhood. It was a patient that I had taken care of, actually, as a resident, who followed me into my growing private practice. He made it very clear that he called me by looking my number up in the phone book. He was a terrible diabetic. That makes it really special for them and for me.

I’m really into fasting but fasting is contraindicated if you’re diabetic and a number of other conditions I saw on the slide (in an earlier talk). Yeah my life totally sucked because I was double booked. I mean they had to somehow charge her something so this town in Westerlo, New York made her a special deal, a dollar/year.
