We really spent a lot of time helping the clinicians see that a patient’s illness, understanding and prognostic awareness was just as important as their pain scale, their pain score. The patient refuses to ever talk about the fact that this illness could take their life. What do we do with that? Eric 30:15 Great.

nursing homes grapple with serious illnesses, and roughly half experience dementia. The reason that you’re in a nursing home is because you have some mix of serious illness and multimorbidity, usually functional impairments. We can’t possibly provide enough care to all people with serious illness.
