Other family doctors only see patients in their clinics. As a doctor, I enjoy caring for everyone, young and old, sick and well! Therefore, these doctors are not eligible to become board-certified in any of the specialties recognized by the AMA’s American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

So the data relating to the number of geriatricians in this country, salaries in comparison to hospitalists or primary care physicians.
