I've been neglecting this blog. My wonderful GP has died, but I am building a relationship with my new one. I make myself do the right thing when it comes to going to my GP for bloods and prescriptions (a massive 40% of doctors who completed the IMO survey said they had no GP).

More GPs = Higher Life Expectancy Did you know that people in areas with more GPs live longer ? Studies from the USA showed that adding one GP per 10,000 inhabitants was associated with 2-5 fewer deaths 5 , 6 and 4 fewer hospitalizations 5 annually. 11 , 13 Over time, GPs come to know their patients well.
