On physical examination, the affected region may be swollen and erythematous though non-tender. Consequently, screening for additional aneurysms upon diagnosis is highly recommended. Initial screening modalities include bilateral ultrasound (US), with CT angiography of the lower extremity if US results are inconclusive.
