What she called total pain, physical, psychosocial, and spiritual, and she started addressing it. We included people with bronchial asthma and many people with paralysis, paraplegia. It was wonderful for me, as a rehab doctor, to be able to see patients with spinal cord injuries and how they were living in their homes.
