Raj: It was indeed very, very gradual, and the seeds were sown when I was a medical student. We included people with bronchial asthma and many people with paralysis, paraplegia. It was wonderful for me, as a rehab doctor, to be able to see patients with spinal cord injuries and how they were living in their homes.
