Analysis of 500+ urgent GP visits in Germany shows most cases were handled in-office, often driven by fear, distress, or a need for reassurance. Students also recorded patients’ concerns and expectations, which were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The results showed that 523 cases were collected from 53 GP practices.

Secondary outcomes included the use of primary and secondary healthcare, nursing home (NH) admission, health-related quality of life (HRQoL), satisfaction, and mortality. The results showed that 303 individuals were recruited with a mean age of 83.2 Functional decline occurred 26.4% at 30 days and 33.7% at 180 days.
