I am part of some other work in the ICU world looking at time-limited trials and trying to better define what those are, how we talk about them, how we talk about them with patients and families. We put a couple extra things in place to really try to reschedule appointments, and this was telehealth. I’m just stunned even writing that!

So, basically, with a stepped care model, the goal is to tailor care delivery to the patient’s needs while at the same time utilizing less clinician resources.
