About 90% were either currently or formerly undocumented, 2/3 spoke Spanish, 2/3 made <$50,000 annually, and 1/3 reported inadequate transportation. Our Community Advisory Board (CAB) guided this work.

So you don’t have to have the piece of paper that says, I appoint so-and-so only if you want to go outside the legal of the default characterizations, but you have to have a legal document. Many states have gone on to say you can appoint a proxy in an oral discussion with your physician. Laurie, how about you?
